Alex & Emmanuelle

Your Paris experience is guided by our team which includes Alexandra, Emmanuelle, and other staff whose creative spirit expertly blends art, culture, and connection. A native Parisian, Emmanuelle knows her city inside and out — not just its landmarks, but its stories, its rhythms, and the little details that make it feel lived-in rather than just visited. She began her career as a lawyer working in intellectual property law for organizations including Chanel. She also pursued a career in acting before making the shift into tourism. She has worked as a Trip Leader with Backroads, one of the premier names in adventure travel, and more recently has become a licensed guide and has been leading her own culinary and historical experiences in Paris. Alexandra has a background in fine art and has worked as a gallery manager and brings a keen artistic eye and a warm enthusiasm to every encounter. Our team is dedicated to helping you experience the true joie de vivre of Paris through its daily rhythms, and neighborhood charm. Alumni Experience in Paris

What’s it really like to spend a month living in Paris with The Good Life Abroad?

Our lovely air conditioned apartment was located in Marais. The group activities were well planned and so enjoyable. Alex did a great job coordinating each event and communicating everything we needed to know.

Firstly spending a month in Paris was unreal. What really made it possible was our facilitator Alex and our group. We had our group activities (lunches, happy hours, tours or classes) but we also had plenty of time to explore on our own. We also were able to connect with others in our group for day trips, meals, music venues. It was a wonderful mix. We also could return to our apartment to rest and plans our next adventure. The 30 days pasted so quickly. Can’t wait to plan our next trip.

Paris is a wonderful and liberating city. To be here and part of an organized travel program is hard to beat. The community manager was fabulous and treated all of us with such grace, happiness, charm and excitement. This was such a great touch. I felt like TGLA seriously cared about our success and happiness in this adventure. TGLA i believe is a wonderful traveling structure for solo travelers to enjoy a European city and or experience a bucket list adventure.
