Alumni Experience in Valencia
What’s it really like to spend a month living in Valencia with The Good Life Abroad?
I loved Valencia and Suzie Anon y Garcia did a very good job. My apartment was small but adequate. I loved its location. As a mostly non-drinker, I think that if you're going to have a happy hour once a week, then the activity should not be a wine tasting. I'm not sure I would want to spend more than what I spent on this trip.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time. And loved València.
I support the concept of slow travel.
I really enjoyed my month in Valencia.
Ease, wonderful lodging, great overall experience.
It’s a great concept

I think it is the ideal vacation for people who really want yo settle in and get a feel for a city.
It’s the perfect scenario for people who want to travel but like the safety net of others being within reach if desired
I loved having my own apartment and having lots of time on my own while also getting to be a part of a small community. I enjoyed spending time with the others in my group.
I would like to see a few more activities and less experiences around food and wine. For example, after the flamenco dance, linking it to a flamenco show. Going to the Gardens and giving people options to bike, walk, picnic.
It was boring. The place that I stayed was so depressing that I almost left for home the day I say it.
I would have liked a history tour of Valencia: Rome, Visigoth, Moors, Catholic Conquest, civil war, etc.
We loved our tour director Suzie! The activities were spot on fun and interesting. Valencia is an amazing city!
We had a very good time in Valencia on TGLA. We have a few recommendations that would make the experience even better. 1. Be consistent on the policy of adding family members to the experiences. One person brought their sister and paid an extra price for including her, when our daughter came we were told that we could not bring her to any of the activities even though we were willing to pay for her and one of the activities she would have substituted for me. 2. Many of the activities were centered around drinking alcohol. Maybe there are other activities that could be included that didn’t revolve around drink. All in all, it was a good experience meeting new people and now feeling too much like a tourist.
Great model.
I scored you so highly because of the quality of the program. I didn’t have to worry about much of anything. There was plenty to do plus enough downtime to relax.
The idea & the actual gathering of this group worked well. Engaging a local leader assisted the experience.
Great way to experience living like a local.
Loved our travel expert Suzie. She was fun, informative and professional. Always available for tips as well.
